INNOVATION HUBS: Innovation Hubs provide support and assistance to  business owners and entrepreneurs  in a variety of ways which may include coaching, training, financial connections, networking opportunities and other services designed to meet the needs of established businesses and start-ups.  Innovation Hubs are an example of focused efforts by cities to support  businesses located within their community and those seeking to do business there.

INCUBATORS: A business incubator is a specialized program designed as a space for new businesses to learn and grow. Incubators nurture businesses from the idea stage onwards and are more longterm than accelerators.  They can provide workspace, resources, and guidance. These programs provide services for entrepreneurs and start-ups at reduced rates for supplies and workspace. Our Team

Business & Economic Strategist, Planning & Implementing Lead

Brandy Guidry is a professional with over 20 yrs of experience.  She has experience with economic development planning and implementation.  Her skills include analysis of city data to develop economic plans and working to implement economic development plans that support city initiatives.

She developed and led a Business Hub that provides support to established businesses and entrepreneurs.  Brandy has been involved in efforts that include attracting new businesses to communities.  Some of the cities she has worked with include Pearland, Tx, Houston, Tx, Missouri City, Tx, Galveston, Tx and SugarLand, Tx.

The projects that she has supported have received local and state recognition. Brandy has also secured grants to support implementation of economic development plans and serves on several boards and committees related to business success and economic development.

Brandy has also developed youth entrepreneurship programs to assist the cities in their efforts to support “home grown” talent &  yield future businesses owners.

Tim Jeffcoat is the President and founder of Competitive Edge Development, a provider of interactive business workshops and consulting services.  Tim has served as the District Director of the US Small Business Administration (SBA) where he oversaw all SBA programs and services in 32 counties in the Southeast Texas area.

He has worked at the executive level in major corporations that include Schlumberger and Siemens for 20 years.  Tim’s career has included international assignments and global responsibilities.  His knowledge of business, economic development and entrepreneurial ecosystems assists him in providing the knowledge and experience needed to support our clients’ business goals.
